Nokia has long been reported to be penetrating the Smart TV market. And now the manufacturer has officially launched its first smart TV.

Nokia Smart TV was launched in collaboration with Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, who also played a role in handling manufacturing, distribution and sales.

Nokia Smart TV Specifications

As far as specifications are concerned, Nokia's first Smart TV comes featuring a large 55-inch screen that offers Ultra HD (4K) resolution by supporting a 60Hz refresh rate, 1200: 1 contrast ratio, and supports 178 degrees viewing angles.

Nokia's smart TV comes equipped with JBL for audio combined with 24W speakers. There is also Dolby Audio + DTS Tru Surround which provides a pleasant sound experience.

For the innards, the Nokia Smart TV relies on a quad-core chipset with a 1GHz clock, which is assisted by the Mali-450 GPU along with 2.25GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

This TV runs on the Android TV 9.0 operating system complete with Google Play Store. Some applications such as Netflix, YouTube and Hotstar are also available in the package.

Completing the specifications, Nokia Smart TV has embedded Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi as connectivity that is combined with 3x HDMI port and 2x USB port.

Price of Nokia Smart TVs

Nokia plans to sell its first smart TV on December 10, which is sold exclusively by Flipkart. Speaking of price, the Nokia Smart TV comes with a price tag of Rs 41,999 (around US $ 577).
